Hmmm.... the version I posted is the one I got from someone on facebook... and I'm pretty sure she got it from the internet. So I think the one you've posted is more credible.
Also, jo version main ne post kiya hai, us mein chand ash'aar ka vazan sahi nahin hai, so that also makes me think it's not the accurate version.
Anyway, as always, thanks a bunch for correcting me. I do sincerely appreciate that :)

i think both versions are correct... The one posted by you is copied from a pakistani drama Mann o Salwa adopted from a novel with the same name by Umera Ahmed (novel jitna interesting tha drama utna hi boring).....
I tried a lot to search the song on internet bt of no benefit... Infact drama me ye song tukdon me gaaya gaya h.. Aap dhund saken to karam hoga...
The version posted by Raheem is penned by Parveen Shakir as far as I know and not by Farhat Abbas Shah...

Yeah that's exactly what it was. The original post is from the drama. (I COMPLETELY agree with you about the discrepancy between the drama and the novel).
I've also been searching for the song on youtube, with no luck. But if I succeed, rest assured I'll post the clip on my blog.
I don't know anything about your last claim. So can't say anything.
