Suna Hai Log Usay Aankh Bhar Ke Dekhtay Hain

*Aik aisay shakhs ke liye jis ki main teh-e-dil se izzat karti hoon aur be-panah mamnoon-o-mashkoor hoon

Suna hai log usay aankh bhar ke dekhtay hain
So us ke sheher main kuch din theher ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai rabt hai us ko kharaab haalon se
So apnay aap ko barbaad kar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai dard ki gaahak hai chashm-e-naaz us ki
So hum bhi us ki gali se guzar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai us ko bhi hai sher-o-shaairi se shaghaf
So hum bhi moejezay apnay hunar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai bolay to baaton se phool jhartay hain
Yeh baat hai to chalo baat kar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai raat usay chaand takta rehta hai
Sitaaray baam-e-falak se utar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai din ko usay titliyaan sataati hain
Suna hai raat ko jugnu theher ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai us ki siyaah chashmgi qayaamat hai
So us ko surma farosh aah bhar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai hashr hain us ki ghazaal si aankhain
Suna hai us ko hiran dasht bhar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai aaina tamsaal hai jabee.n us ki
Jo saada dil hain usay ban sanvar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai us ke badan ki taraash aisi hai
Keh phool apni qabaayen katar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai us ke shabistaa.n se muttasil hai bahisht
Makee.n udher ke bhi jalvay idher ke dekhtay hain

Rukay to gardishain us ka tavvaaf karti hain
Chalay to us ko zamaanay theher ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai raat se barh kar hain kaakulain us ki
Suna hai shaam ko saaye guzar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai us ke labon se gulaab jaltay hain
So hum bahaar pe ilzaam dhar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai jab se hamaail hain us ki gardan main
Mizaaj aur he laal-o-gauhar ke dekhtay hain

Suna hai chashm-e-tasavvur se dasht-e-imkaa.n main
Palang zaaviye us ki kamar ke dekhtay hain

Vo sarvqad hai magar be-gul-e-muraad nahin
Keh us shajar pe shagoofay samar ke dekhtay hain

Bus ik nigaah se loota hai qaafla dil ka
So raah ravaan-e-tamanna bhi darr ke dekhtay hain

Kahaaniyaan he sahi sab mubaalghay he sahi
Agar vo khaab hai tabeer kar ke dekhtay hain

Ab us ke sheher main thehrain ke kooch kar jaayen
Faraaz aao sitaaray safar ke dekhtay hain

As I've mentioned somewhere earlier, I'm actually grateful for the corrections, so no worries. Secondly, I keep getting different versions of this poem, and they're all a little different from each other, which is why I still haven't written the poem in my diary yet. The corrections you made for no.'s 3, 12, 14, and 17 were all typos, so my apologies (although I'm doubtful about the 'usay' in the second misra). For no.'s 2 and 10, I'm not sure yet, but your corrections make more sense, so I'll edit my version.

Thanks for the prayers and wishes.

Thanks for comments. Actually the poem is quite long and sometimes it becomes hard to find out the exact words of such a long poem unless you read the published version by poet. As I have another long poem which consists of 8 pages of my diary.
And you are right, there is some different versions also. My version was above,, can't get published version unless my next vacations to Pakistan :)

Stay blessed !!

Thanks for the link.
As far as I can remember, I put the poem in consonance with the poet's recited version once I searched it on youtube and found it there a while back.

I met a friend of the poet who said that he (Faraz) recited different versions of the poem for different audiences in part depending on their reactions. Thus there are many different versions, which are legitimate and correct as recited by Faraz at different times
