meri humdum, meri dost, Sabeen ke liye...
Gar mujhay is ka yaqee.n ho
Meray humdum, meray dost
Gar mujhay is ka yaqee.n ho
Keh teray dil ki thakan
Teri aankhon ki udaasi, teray seenay ki jalan
Meri diljoyee, meray piyaar se mit jaaye gee
Gar mera harf-e-tasalli
Vo dava ho, jis se
Jee uthay phir tera ujra hua be noor dimaagh
Teri peshaani se dhul jaayen ye tazleel ke daagh
Teri beemaar javaani ko shifa mil jaaye..
Gar mujhay is ka yaqee.n ho
Meray humdum, meray dost
Roz-o-shab, shaam-o-seher
Main tujhay behlaata rahoon
Main tujhay geet sunaata rahoon
Halkay, sheeree.n..
Aabshaaron ke, bahaaron ke, chaman zaaron ke geet,
Aamad-e-subh ke, mehtaab ke, saiyyaaron ke geet,
Tujh se main husn-o-mohabbat ki hikaayaat kahoon,
Kesay maghroor haseenaaon ke barfaab se jism
Garm haathon ki haraarat mein pighal jaatay hain
Kesay aik chehray ke thehray huay maanoos nuqoosh
Dekhtay dekhtay yaklakht badal jaatay hain
Kis tarah aariz-e-mehboob ka shaffaaf biloar
Yak-bayak baada-e-ehmar se dehek jaata hai
Kesay gul-chee.n ke liye jhukti hai khud shaakh-e-gulaab
Kis tarah raat ka aivaan mehek jaata hai
Yoonhi gaata rahoon, gaata rahoon teri khaatir
Geet bunta rahoon, betha rahoon teri khaatir
Per meray geet teray dukh ka madaava he nahin
Naghma jarra nahin, moonis-o-ghamkhaar sahi
Geet nishtar to nahin, marham-e-aazaar sahi
Teray aazaar ka chaara nahin, nishtar ke siva
Aur yeh saffaak maseeha meray qabzay mein nahin
Is jahaa.n ke kisi zee-rooh ke qabzay mein nahin
Haan magar teray siva, teray siva, teray siva
